From January to December 2012 I will be serving as one of two recent Grinnell alums in the Grinnell Corps: Lesotho program. In June/July my current co-fellow will be replaced by a member of the Grinnell class of ’12. There is much more information about the program here.
The fellowship allows me to teach high school in a very rural, poor community called St. Rodrigue. The high school is run by a Catholic convent, and enrolls around 300-400 girls each year. I receive a modest stipend from Grinnell College, and live in a house with no electricity, although we do have running, drinkable water (when boiled). I only have access to the internet when I visit Maseru, so I LOVE to receive snail mail. You may write to me at:
